Parties Beyond the City - Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Beyond
A good chunk of my Leicestershire bookings never go near Leicester itself - Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Hinckley, Coalville and Ashby-de-la-Zouch all come up regularly, and I know most of the village halls and community centres in between.
Every booking gets the same package regardless of where in the county it is: a comedy magic show, party games where nobody sits out, balloon modelling, and Snowy the rabbit for selected dates.

Who's Doing the Performing
I'm Stuart, a Magic Circle member and full-time entertainer - I'm the one who shows up, not a booking agency sending whoever's free. A few practical points:

DBS certificate available if your venue or school needs to see one

The show relies on fun and comedy with audience participation - it's built so the birthday child gets moments to shine as my "assistant" throughout, rather than just being one face in the crowd.
Games follow the magic, with everyone kept in rather than eliminated one by one, and I bring music and prizes so there's nothing extra for you to organise. Balloon modelling rounds things off, and where a date allows it, Snowy joins for photos once the noisy part of the afternoon is done.

Village Hall Bookings vs Bigger Venues
A lot of my Leicestershire diary is village and church halls rather than large function rooms, and there's a knack to making a show work in a smaller space. A few things worth sorting before the day:
Measure roughly how much floor space is genuinely free once tables and chairs are set out - I can work in a surprisingly tight area, but it helps to know in advance.
Check whether the hall has its own sound system I can plug into, or whether I should bring my own portable speaker.
Ask what time you're actually allowed access from - some halls have a strict start time that catches people out on setup.
If it's a scout hut or similar, check there's a plug socket near where the performance area will be.

We're having the party at a farm or outdoor venue near Melton Mowbray - does that work?
Generally yes, with some planning around power for the music and a wet-weather backup if it's not under cover. Let me know the venue type when you enquire.
Is there a minimum number of children for a booking?
No set minimum - I've done small family gatherings and larger halls of 40-plus children. The package and pricing are based on time and format rather than headcount.
Our village hall is quite small - will the show still work?
Yes, most of my Leicestershire bookings are in smaller halls. I adjust the games and spacing to suit rather than needing a big room.
Can other adults stay and watch?
Of course - plenty of parents and grandparents stay for the show, and it's usually a good chance for the adults to relax for a bit while the children are occupied.
What happens if the party overruns?
I build a bit of flexibility into the timing where I can, but if you know in advance you might want longer, mention it when booking so we can plan the slot properly rather than rushing the end.
